Andrea L. Lowe, MPH, CPH (she/her/hers)

The Social Impact Studio Consulting, LLC is owned and operated by Andrea L. Lowe, MPH, CPH. She has an extensive background in public health and human services, supporting opportunities to build equitable policies and practices at the local, state, and federal level. She has worked with a variety of entities, including local and state government, local and national non-profits, a physician membership association, and the private sector. These experiences have afforded her the opportunity to live and work all over the United States, including Washington, DC, Pennsylvania, Virginia, California, and Nebraska.

Her accomplishments include:

  • Participated in the inaugural cohort of the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO) Diverse Executives Leading in Public Health fellowship program

  • Created and operated the first Office of Legislative Services with the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services

  • Co-led a Los Angeles County-wide strategic vision and mission development initiative for the Specialized Foster Care Division through the Foster America fellowship program

  • Collaborated with the Virginia Beach Department of Human Services’ Behavioral Health Division and Virginia Beach Sheriff’s Office and Police Department to create a Mobile Co-Response Team, realignment of the Adult Correctional Services Division, and envision a criminal justice diversionary pathway across the Human Services’ programs and impact areas

  • Coordinated a coalition that successfully lobbied Congress to provide a 530% increase in funding to expand the Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Violent Death Reporting System (NVDRS).

Aside from operating Social Impact Studio Consulting, LLC, she is pursuing her Doctorate in Public Health (DrPH) with Loma Linda University, serves as Chair of the Ethics Section of the American Public Health Association, and serves as a member of WE Public Health. In her free time, she loves to read, play outdoors, travel, and spend time with her friends and family. She is also a proud Virginia Tech Hokie!

 

Sandhya Karki, BSc (she/her/hers)

Research and Data Analyst

Sandhya Karki, originally from Nepal, is a Research and Data Analyst at Social Impact Studio Consulting, LLC, currently living in Washington, D.C. She has been supporting key initiatives in partnership with Special Olympics Pennsylvania and Special Olympics International for the Rosemary Collaboratory since January. She brings her expertise in public health and data analysis to support the entire organization.

In her role, Sandhya conducts client-based research, assists with the development of proposals, supports project management, and leads project-based data collection efforts. She also manages social media accounts, using her skills in communication and data to enhance outreach and impact.

Sandhya is currently completing her second year of the Master of Science in Data Science program at George Washington University, after earning a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Health Science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Her diverse background in clinical research, public health, and corporate well-being has equipped her with the tools to drive data-driven solutions in health and social impact.

Sandhya loves being in the nature doing hiking, walking, visiting natural places. She also loves cooking, and taking care of her plants. She is passionate about merging her love of public health and data science skills to create meaningful impact in the communities she serves.
